HP XGRASS widgets

After our first system generation of XGRASS the program does not work.
Compilation and linking with X11 release 5, and Motif1.1 .

Startup of XGRASS returns the next error message:

Error: attempt to add non-widget child "protocol" to parent 
"View/Edit Current History" which supports only widgets

Does anybody know how I can fix this problem ? Thank you in advance,
